Sometimes watching video on the iPod gives me an eye headache that can only rival that caused by a Big Gulp-sized Slurpee. Doesn’t mean I am going to stop doing it, because well—I’ve paid plenty for that right.

ViewSonic takes a little strain off those peepers with the PJ258D, a high-def, “Made for iPod” DLP front projector. The unit has a docking station, which connects a video iPod directly to the projector—no computers needed. Sure you can connect your iPod to a slew of other projectors, but at under 4 pounds, this one seems pretty portable and even charges the iPod’s battery to keep you entertained for hours.

Other highlights include S-Video and VGA connectivity, 1024 x 768 XGA resolution, 2,000 lumens of brightness and a 2000:1 contrast ratio.
