For those days when it’s so hot you can’t even get off the sofa to adjust to thermostat, Venstar offers the remote control Add-A-Wireless Thermostat T1119RF, which will operate Venstar’s Slimline Platinum programmable thermostats, in that room or any other.

The radio-frequency (RF)-based accessory allows you to monitor and adjust the temperature of any room in the home, from anywhere in the home.  “You can turn up the heat or turn on the air conditioning without getting out of bed or off the sofa,” said Steve Dushane, president and CEO of Venstar.

A wireless module plugs into a Slimline Platinum Thermostat, and Venstar says within five minutes you can control the temperature of any room with the touch of a button. There are no wires to run. The thermostat with the last button pressed is the one in control.

Add-A-Wireless Thermostat transmits up to 500 feet using 418MHz RF band, which should not interfere with other electronic systems. The thermostat has non-volatile memory and dual set point with adjustable deadbands. The Add-A-Wireless thermostat also has a keypad lockout so that thermostat changes are made only when intended by the user.  An optional power supply (ACC0800) is available.

Venstar’s Add-A-Wireless Thermostat is compatible with Venstar’s Slimline Platinum Thermostat Models T1800 and T1900 seven-day programmable thermostats.  Price is $123.
