If you’ve got enough bottles and cans saved up, you could soon own a high-def DVD player.

Venturer Electronics announced its plans to launch an affordable HD DVD player in North America for a mere $199—just in time to scarf one up for everyone on your holiday shopping list.

The SHD7000 might not have a fancy brand name on the front, but it’s what’s inside that count. The company plans 1080i video output and an HDMI connection, says MovieWeb. What more do you need?

Other features include Dolby TrueHD support, CD playback and upconversion features for standard DVDs.

Oh, and did we mention the price? Well it’s worth another plug: $199.
