Ever get so into a movie, you wanted more? Universal Studios is ready to offer more bang for the bucks you spend on HD DVD.

The company just announced that they are introducing a website that will allow HD DVD viewers to link directly to bonus scenes, interact with other fans, and purchase exclusive items from its “U-Shop.”

The first title to get the U-Shop treatment will be “Evan Almighty.” Considering the film’s environmental theme, High-Def Digest says that you can link to purchase things such as toilet paper made from recycled materials (12 rolls for $14!). Thankfully, that’s not all; memorabilia will also be available.

“Evan Almighty” will be released on a combination disc, with the HD DVD on one side and a DVD on the other, on October 9. We’re expecting to see other titles with interactive and shopping features flood the holiday season.
