Wireless speakers are a dime a dozen; so are iPod/iPhone docks. But when you combine the two, it’s like magic to a music lover.

The Zikmu from Parrot comes as a pair of super-stylish, wireless, floorstanding speakers.

The two, designed by Philippe Starck, can communicate wirelessly with each other, which means they can be positioned anywhere in the room. There’s an iPod/iPhone/iPod touch docking station on top, and a matching remote lets you sift through your library conveniently from the couch.

If you’d rather, you can stream audio wirelessly to the speakers from a Mac, smartphone, PC or MP3 player via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. A CD player and TV can be connected, too.

There’s also the ability to tweak the speakers wirelessly from a web interface. Just log on to set the equalizer to self-adjust according to chosen music themes, and optimize the speaker response based on the room characteristics.

A few specs: The total power output is 50 watts per channel; frequency range: 50Hz–20kHz; maximum range: 50 feet; height: 29.2 inches; available in classic black, arctic white, pearl grey and sorbet lime. You’ll pay a pretty penny for these pretty speakers: $1,600.
