TruAudio is unleashing a tsunami of sound via its Trunami in-wall subwoofer.
The new unit is designed for a variety of applications, including retrofit. It features an 8-inch woofer and two 6.5-inch Bass Augmenting Drivers (BAD). Those two passive drivers are designed to enhance the unit’s bass performance, while keeping the design to a very small enclosure.
Some of the specs on the Trunami include a 35-180 Hz (+/-3db) frequency response and 8 Ohms impedance. It also boasts a linear High-Excursion-Spider-Suspension (HESS) design, which is matched to its enclosure, amp power level and frequency. Other features include a four-layer copper voice coil, a high-energy ceramic magnet, and a woofer magnet circuit that was designed using Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
“Designing the Trunami in-wall subwoofer was a labor of love,” said Kary Wawrzyniak , VP of technology. “And that love began by choosing a TruAudio 8-inch woofer.”
Designed to mount between a 16-inch stud in a standard wall, the Trunami comes with its own MDF back box. It also has a frameless, magnetic cloth grille.
The Trunami In-Wall Sub is available now, via authorized TruAudio dealers.
