Lyngdorf’s D-1 (pictured) and TDA-2300 amp will be available exclusively through Triad distributors.
Triad wants to break out beyond its speaker line. The company just announced (via CE Pro) that they will start distributing a new home theater preamplifier/processor and a matching amp manufactured by Lyngdorf Audio.
The D-1 multichannel 8-channel preamplifier/processor includes RoomPerfect digital room correction, which the company says allows users greater freedom with speaker placement.
It has a one-button user interface, which provides access to controls and all the processing. System settings are pre-defined from 2.0 to 8.8 speaker systems. Triad says the system comes loaded with every decoding and processing mode, and will be THX Certified.
The D-1 will ship in March 2008 for $15,000.
Designed to work with the D-1 is Lyngdorf’s other offering, the TDA-2300 amplifier. The 2-channel unit delivers 2 x 300 watts continuously into 4 ohms using proprietary amplification technology. It will also be available in March for $2,900.
Earlier this year, Denmark-based Lyngdorf Audio appointed Triad as its exclusive distributor in the US.
