Seven isn’t a bad name. George Costanza wanted to stow it away as a name for his son. Leon Speakers is using it in its new on-wall loudspeaker, the Leon Seven.

In honor of George, call it the Mickey Mantle of on-wall speakers that complement flat-panel displays.

The seven comes from Leon Seven’s 7-inch hand-mde Eton Hexacone long throw woofers, of which each cabinet features a pair. It also has Raven R2 True Ribbon tweeters, sturdy aluminum-milled cabinet and baffle with internal bracing that helps produce tones that contain virtually no unwanted resonance and vibrations, Leon says.

Your wall and the speaker’s 11 x 38 x 6 cabinet will be firing out power ordinarily limited to tower speakers, with 40 kHz to 50 Hz frequency response and a power rating of 250 watts per channel, Leon says.

Pricing on the Leon Seven—customizable just as the company’s other on-walls—will be in the $15,000 to $20,000 range.
