Toshiba is packing a few extra features into its latest compact projector.
The TLP-X100U might not be the lightest, but it is the latest—and it’s got closed captioning features. This means no matter how noisy the boardroom, the backyard, or any other space gets, you can drown out your friends and coworkers and keep up with the action on-screen.
Measuring 3 inches high, the 4-pound 3LCD unit is about the size of a hardback book. It also features a Blackboard function, which allows for presentations on non-screen surfaces. Pick a wall color, whether it’s green, brown or beige, and the projector can adjust accordingly.
Don’t look for an HDMI hookup, but the unit has a few other connection options, including S-Video and composite. Other features include digital zoom, a 4:3 aspect ratio, a 600:1 contrast ratio, and a brightness of 2,200 ANSI lumens.
The TLP-X100U is available now for $839.
