Top Blu-ray Releases for November 16
If you've been waiting for your 3D Blu-ray fix, this week has plenty in store for you with soccer, titans, space, and cats and dogs.
November 15, 2010 by Rachel Cericola

Because we’ve waited so long, we thought it might be important to remind everyone that today was a HUGE release day for Blu-ray 3D.

The following titles are now all available on Blu-ray 3D: “The Polar Express,” “Clash of the Titans,” “Disney’s A Christmas Carol,” “IMAX: Space Station,” “Open Season,” “IMAX: Under the Sea,” “IMAX: Deep Sea,” “Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore,” and “The Official 2010 FIFA World Cup Film.”

The beauty is that you don’t have to buy any TVs or pay through the nose on eBay to get any of these titles. Every single one of them is now available at retail.

If 3D isn’t your bag, baby, there’s still quite a bit to choose from this week, from classic classics to modern classics. We get a look at The Shawshank Redemption in high-def, Charlie Chaplin’s 1936 Modern Times, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and some “Blu-ray Essentials” releases from Sony Pictures such as the Spider-Man trilogy flicks, Black Hawk Down and Air Force One.

For music lovers, take a behind-the-scenes look at a classic Bruce Springsteen album with the release of The Promise: The Darkness on the Edge of Town Story.

Also this week arrives another, “extended collector’s edition” of Avatar for those who haven’t already made the purchase. Here’s the complete rundown for this week, courtesy of
