Back in November, TiVo announced plans for the TiVo Premiere App for the iPad. Now, they are delivering on the promise. The service provider just announced that the free app is now available via Apple’s iTunes store.

Designed specifically for Premiere and Premiere XL users, the TiVo Premiere App for the iPad serves as a remote control, as well as a way to discover new programming, schedule recordings, and check out actors on-screen—all without interrupting current programming.

One notable perk about the search is that it’s not just limited to TiVo and/or your provider. It can also search for TV shows, movies, actors or directors across Netflix, Amazon Video On Demand, and more.

Aside from the above, viewers can use the app to share blast programming choices (good and bad) to the world, via Facebook and Twitter integration.

The TiVo Premiere App is available now for free in the Apple iTunes store. To use it, you’ll need a TiVo Premiere or TiVo Premiere XL box, a paid TiVo subscription, and of course, the iPad. Check out the video walkthrough below.
