Now there’s another reason to shell out money for TiVo. Aside from enough TV to make your eyes explode, now you can expect Disney and Jaman options through its video on demand service.

Jaman offers a range of foreign and indie movies. “Girl with a Pearl Earring” and “Supersize Me” aren’t that obscure, but TiVo says that most others “are often found only within fine art-house theaters in New York and Los Angeles.” Look for titles in the categories of Indie and Film Festival Favorites, Best of Bollywood and Documentaries. Those are available now starting at $1.99 each, with various shorts and other content available for free.

“Film fans are discovering high-quality, original films from around the world through TiVo’s intuitive interface,” said Jaman’s CEO Gaurav Dhillon. “Browsing and watching films that aren’t available anywhere else right from the comfort of your living room will introduce a new audience to truly great independent and foreign films.  With TiVo, Jaman brings the film festival into your living room.”

As far as Disney, we’re expecting a lot of talking animals and animation. There’s no formal announcement (not a recent one anyway), but Zatz Not Funny says the titles should be coming next week. Jaman content is available now on TiVo’s Series 2 and Series 3 boxes. You can also use your TiVo HD or HD XL, but for now, all of the content is standard-def.
