How do you make a highly praised, well-respected, audiophile loudspeaker even better? Incorporate some upgrades, add nifty personalization, and roll it out again in limited production as a signature edition.

That’s what Thiel Audio has done with the CS2.4 floorstanding speaker. The beauty came out five years ago, and if audiophiles thought it was great then, wait till they see it now, as the CS2.4SE loudspeaker.

This Signature Edition model (hence the “SE”) boasts a number of refinements from the original, including:

  • Ultra-fine grade boutique capacitors
  • Hand-selected birdseye maple and deep red stain finish
  • Beveled groove between the satin black baffle and cabinet walls
  • Stainless steel hardware to secure drivers to the baffle
  • Bright chrome design for the Thiel logo
  • Milled aluminum outriggers and high-polish stabilizer spikes

And what would be a signature edition without an actual signature? This rollout has the literal signoff from its maker, Jim Thiel, whose John Hancock is laser-etched to an aluminum plate on the back of the cabinet.

You’ll have to be quick to snatch up this $8,000 stunning speaker pair—the CS2.4SE is out now in production of only 150 pairs worldwide.
