If you’re like me, it’s a chore to delete stuff off my computer, let alone go through that little trash can and give the final boot to documents, photos and other digital files that are no longer worth my desktop space.

Now, TEMPO wants to give you another area that will need a routine digital cleaning. This little external storage device might be a digital file’s last stop to that big recycle bin up in the sky.

Sure, it might save a few files, but do you really need another hunk of junk hogging your desk space? This is just a prototype—a proof of concept. It would be a wireless external hard drive which communicates through bluetooth protocol. One of it’s features would be the ability to give a visual cue as to how full it is. It is covered with LEDs which will light up to represent how “full” it is. A wireless trash can for your computer… how innovative. Why not just make a nice wireless external drive with an external display of what is on it. Maybe like the display at the bottom iTunes—audio, video, photos, other, free space. Would be great if these content types were user definable, too.
