TDVision is one of those companies that you only come across during the days of CES. Of course, they are expected to have another standout debut for next week’s show, taunting visitors with a new high-def 2D/3D format.

The new TDVCodec encoding and decoding system works with HD 3D digital video streams, but also supports Blu-ray. The end result will be broadcasts that deliver a resolution of 1920 x 1080 per eye. How about that? The statement says that “the theme of the demonstration is ‘encode once and deploy anywhere’.”

Attendees will be able to view the new tech via Texas Instruments, Mitsubishi, Planar, Xbox and XpanD devices. TDVision says that you (well, they) can incorporate the tech into all sorts of devices. It does sound very cool. What’s not so cool is that you’ll need to wear 3D glasses to experience the whole thing. Sounds like there’s going to be a long line at that booth.
