You rang? Well, not in the traditional sense—at least not if you own the new Swann MP3 DJ Doorbell.
This new little gadget takes the ding-dong out of the typical visit. Instead, it allows you to crank out up to 10,000 different songs when someone shows up at your door.
Swann’s wireless doorbell setup includes a speaker unit and a push-button doorbell unit. Both are designed to fit any home or office, and since it’s available in white, probably any decor.
Just attached the doorbell unit to the front door and mount the speaker inside. When the doorbell is pressed, it sends a wireless signal to the speaker anywhere in the home, up to 165 feet.
No wiring is needed; the whole setup is battery powered. All of the music is stored on a removable SD card, which you need to supply. A 32GB card can hold up to 10,000 tracks. Of course, you can also use the included software to edit down those songs so the system only plays the “good” parts when someone shows up.
If you prefer to just load the whole track, Swann says that the MP3 DJ Doorbell can double as music player.
Swann is now selling the MP3 DJ Doorbell with an MSRP of $49.99. If you want to get a little demo of how it works, check out the video below.
