D+S Sound Labs’ Surround Sound Chair
It might look like it’s some sort of seating arrangement out of “A Clockwork Orange” or “Brazil” but the Surround Sound Chair is more for enjoyment. If you’re cramped for space or want a headphones-like experience for watching movies and concert DVDs, this product from D+S Sound Labs may be up your alley.
The Surround Sound Chair comes with five speakers—two fronts, two surrounds and a subwoofer—for an in-your-face immersive surround experience.
The fronts use 5.25-inch coaxial drivers in a 6-inch PVC enclosure, and are mounted on black metal tubing that can be angled however you’d like. The surrounds have 4-inch coaxial drivers and fire downward at you from the left and right of the upper console. There’s a 12-inch subwoofer mounted in the base of the seat to give you some really moving bass.
No problems with imaging or distortion or accuracy while lounging around in this baby. There are also 24 finish colors available, so it will match your room. All you have to do is shell out $3,000 for it.
