Supernova Screens from dnp Earn ISF Certification

Anyone can look at a projection screen and give their opinions as to how it looks. When an organization such as the Imaging Science Foundation (ISF) gives its thumbs up, that’s more than just opinion.

The Supernova Infinity and Supernova Flex from dnp have recently received certification from the ISF, the company recently announced. The certification means that ISF scientists have evaluated these screens—which are optical front-projection screens for viewing in brightly lit environments—for meeting or exceeding the demanding ISF benchmarks for quality that define the best in video performance available, such as uniformity, color balance and accuracy.

Supernova Screens are based on a high-contrast filter that allows the projected image to be reflected from the screen head-on, while effectively absorbing light from other sources such as ceiling lights, making for higher contrast than conventional screens and greatly reduced affect by ambient light, says dnp.
