Sunfire’s HRS Speakers are now shipping in black, with a cherry finish coming this winter.
Sunfire’s HRS can stand proud in any home theater, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t get lonely. To complement the sub line, the company has just announced its new HRS Satellite speakers—which are shipping now.
Boasting a compact size and price, the new speakers come in a few shapes and sizes. There’s the HRS SAT-4 ($450 each) and the HRS-SAT4C Center ($550 each). Both handle up to 200 watts per channel, with High Back-emf and long-throw woofers. They also have a sexy curved style, designed to deliver tight, detailed sound for both music and movie soundtracks.
Each unit also boasts a cast aluminum front baffle that’s clamped to the rear of the cabinet, which promises “a stiffer, more inert enclosure for resistance to vibration, resulting in tighter, cleaner bass with minimal distortion.” Wall-mount them, put them on a shelf, or get the optional stands for floor applications.
The units are available in black now. If you want a cherry finish, you’ll have to wait until November, and shell out an extra $100 per unit.

The woven acoustic screen is now available in a retractable, masking version.
Centralized home control and automation plus boatload of A/V options including dropdown theater screen revitalize 12K-square-foot home.
Should TV manufacturers offer dumbed-down TVs that focus on image quality rather than apps?
Say hello to home control in this high-tech palace, circa 2006.
