Years ago the electronics company Sunfire was at the forefront of the compact subwoofer trend, which allowed custom electronics pros and consumers to integrate subwoofers capable of producing healthy amounts of volume without taking up large chunks of floor space.

The company’s latest line of subwoofers continues Sunfire’s design philosophy.

The new Sunfire Dynamic Series (SDS) of subwoofers feature 8-, 10- and 12-inch subwoofer models and the company says they can be used when installers need a small sized subwoofer that’s capable of high outputs. Sunfire says the new subwoofers incorporate the company’s new Class-D digital amplifier designs, which are capable of producing between 400 watts to 600 watts of peak power and an optional 2.4GHz wireless receiver/transmitter systems that support the use of as many as four receivers with a single transmitter.

Sunfire rates the SDS-8 8-inch woofer model to play down to 32Hz; the SDS-10 10-inch woofer model to play down to 30Hz and the SDS-12 12-inch woofer model to play down as low as 28Hz.

Other features include gold-plated connections, black ash cabinet and fiber composite, poly-coated woofers.

The SDS-8 lists for an MSRP of $350, the SDS-10 for $450, the SDS-12 for $550 and the optional 2.4GHz wireless kit for $150.
