Media Decor’s moving art has been used in flat-panel concealment

At least flat-panel displays can look pretty slick hanging on a wall even when they’re turned off. If you don’t like ‘em, though, you can hide them with one of a handful of decorative artwork solutions.

Projection screens aren’t quite as attractive when they don’t have anything filling their massive white rectangles. If you don’t have an electric screen that rolls into your ceiling, or even from your floor, it’s right there in the open of your media room (curtains can work nicely in lavish dedicated theaters). Media Decor is offering one solution to that, as it’s announced it has teamed up with popular manufacturer Stewart Filmscreen on the Stewart Media Decor System.

All you’ll need is a remote control to press, and after the credits roll you can turn off the projector and have Media Decor’s twin-roller system scroll down artwork in front of the screen.

The system is a self-contained solution with artwork and screen surrounded by an elegant frame that can be recessed or wall-mounted. Media Decor has more than 1,000 pieces of art to choose from, or you can even use your own digital photography for a custom personalized touch.

If you’re looking to hide a flat-panel TV, that’s still in the mix, too. The Stewart Media Decor System works for screens in sizes from 20 to 120 inches, with MSRPs starting at $7,250. With 120 inches of artwork, your media room will be looking like the Met in no time.
