Think you don’t have the $133-plus to spend on the Star Trek HD DVD set? You’re about to be enticed by a theater near you.
High-Def Digest says that an episode from the new high-def set will soon be showing at various theaters across the country.
That’s right—just one episode. It may be barely worth busting out the Spock ears, but it is a two-parter. The episode “Menagerie” will make its big-screen debut, along with a special taped intro from Eugene “Son of Gene” Roddenberry and a 30-minute featurette.
The promoter says that a second night was added, so expect twice the Trekkies hanging around parking lots everywhere come November 13 and 15.
The 10-disc HD DVD set of “Star Trek: The Original Series” will be released on November 20.
