Multiroom music is about to get more affordable—maybe. Soundcast Systems just announced the OutCast 3.4, but they haven’t said a word about the price yet. (OneCall has it for $1,199.)

The original OutCast can be had for $999, so it’s a bit of a bump in price. However, this latest multiroom, multi-source wireless speaker system also boasts a built-in subwoofer.

Just connect the included iCast transmitter to your source. Using wireless technology, the OutCast 3.4 boasts multi-directional sound up to 300 feet away. That signal can travel through walls, doors, floors, ceilings and roofs, making it perfect for indoor and outdoor use.

Soundcast says that the OutCast 3.4 can provide three-source music selection, as well as control over an iPod, iPhone, or other MP3 player, and music on a PC or Mac. It can even play Pandora, Rhapsody, and HD Radio.

Other features include an internal battery with up to 20 hours of wireless music and a backlit top panel keypad.
