Sound Hive from Oskar Daniel Design
It’s always refreshing to see how differently loudspeakers can be designed. This one from Oskar Daniel Design is one we hadn’t seen before, and we’re all abuzz about it (sorry, had to be said).
The Sound Hive provides surround sound from wall-mounted speakers, and the setup can be as large as you want it because of its modular nature.
Like the increasingly popular soundbars, these will give you a good dose of virtual surround, and you can aim each individual “cell” to really tweak the sound the way you want.
The Sound Hive needs to be plugged into a power outlet, but conveniently the electrical wiring is hidden within the wall frame.
Along with pivoting and extending each speaker, a switch lets you set them each to left, right or center “channel.” Dare we say you’ll be a busy little bee messing around with this setup? (yup, sorry once again)
