Back in January, Sony announced a slew of HDTVs for 2013. Now, the company is actually starting to deliver on its promises of new products. From now through May, Sony will be shipping models from the new W- and R-series.

The W series includes the KDL-W900A, KDL-W802A and KDL-W650A. All three models have Sony’s own X-Reality PRO, as well as Motionflow XR, built-in WiFi and MHL (Mobile High Definition Link) options for wired mirroring capabilities.

The W900A is the cream of this crop, adding in TRILUMINOS Display LED backlighting and Quantum Dot technology for better, brighter, more lifelike images. It also has a 1.2-meter speaker duct built into the cabinet and an NFC remote (which is optional for the W802A).

The KDL-W900A is available has a lone 55-inch model for $3,299. The KDL-W802A has 55- and 47-inch sizes starting at $1,799. For something smaller, the 32-inch KDL-W650A is selling for $799.

Sony’s R-series has Clear Resolution Enhancer technology and a variety of other features. The KDL-R550A includes WiFi, as well as access to Sony Entertainment Network services, Netflix, Hulu Plus, Pandora and more. It’s also RVU compliant, so it’s compatible with DIRECTV’s Genie Whole-Home HD DVR. Available in 50-, 60- and 70-inch sizes, this model features Miracast wireless screen mirroring, passive 3D and prices starting at $1,399.

The KDL-R520A has many of the features listed above, but drops the 3D. Available in 60- and 70-inch sizes, this set has a starting price of $1,999.

Last, but certainly not least, the KDL-46R453A, KDL-40R450A and KDL-32R400A starts at a mere $399. Sizes and other specs have yet to be announced, but we do know that these models will include screen mirroring via a MHL cable, which will be sold separately.
