Fancy yourself as an artist? You may be the designer of the next Vaio.

Sony is joining forces with Microsoft, asking consumers to create designs for the latest Vaio Graphic Splash notebooks. If you’re interested, you can submit a design, as well as a photo of yourself and an essay about your inspiration, via Sony’s website.

Twice says that a panel, including Lauren Conrad (MTV’s “The Hills”) and artist Maya Hayuk, will choose 10 finalists. Each of the finalists will receive a Vaio FW with their own design, and get placement at Project Las Vegas. Then, the public will choose three winners. Those designers will receive $5,000, as well as an all-expenses-paid trip to New York. That includes round-trip coach airfare, accommodations, ground transportation, and $500 spending money. Winners will also get bragging rights, which will kick off at a Sony press conference.

The winning entries will be sold at Sony’s online store for a limited time, starting this fall.
