Would you like a shower radio to go with that copy of “You Don’t Mess With The Zohan?”
Sony just announced the launch of the Sony Pictures Blu-ray Club, a rewards program that allows consumers to rack up points for BD Live-enabled purchases. Once you get a decent amount of points, you can redeem them for goods at the Club’s store.
The company is kicking off the program with the launch of “Zohan,” which went on sale today. High-Def Digest says the program is free to join. Users can create a profile through their Blu-ray players or via Sony’s Rewards website.
Points are accumulated through BD Live-accessible players. Once you have enough points, you can redeem them for other movies, music, electronics or other items. Users will also be entered into special club sweepstakes.
The Sony Rewards Club is also available to Sony Card members. Sony points can be earned on a calendar-year basis, meaning that once the calendar year is up, you have a three-month grace period to use them before they get wiped out.
