Someday I am hoping to critique celebrities with my super high-def big screen. Someday may be coming sooner than I had thought.
Sony just announced they are now shipping the KDS-R60XBR2 and the KDS-R70XBR2, two new Grand WEGA HDTVs. These aren’t exactly small potatoes either, at 60 and 70 inches each, respectively.
Each model is a full 1920 x 1080 HD display, a 10,000:1 dynamic contrast, two HDMI inputs with 1080p capability, a front HDMI HDV camcorder connection, a PC input, CableCARD compatibility and TV Guide on-screen features.
That’s all fine and dandy, but the bottom line is that the WEGA is one nice product—and these are so big, it’s almost blinding, yet beautiful.
Both units are available now.
