Wii-doggies! After yesterday’s rumor about Sony’s plans for Wii-like gaming on the PS3, it looks like the Ericsson brand beat them to the punch.
Today, the company formally announced its F305 phone, which adds motion gaming to put “fun and entertainment” into the handset—aside from the fun and entertainment of talking to your friends and loved ones, that is.
Boasting horizontal gameplay and dedicated gaming controls, the F305 must be able to take a licking, since it also reacts to swings and swipes.
At least the people in the picture look like they’re having a good time. Maybe they wrote the press release, which Wired says has some incarnation of the word “game” a total of 41 times. That’s talent!
Expect the other standard phone features, such as a 2.0 megapixel camera, Bluetooth and memory card support. It will also be a Quad-Band EDGE phone supporting 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 frequency bands.
The F305 comes preloaded with three games: “Bowling,” “Bass Fishing” and “Jockey.” There’s no word on a price, but it should be available by Q3 this year.
