Sony Developing Video Walkman
To keep up with the iPods of the world, Sony is taking its classic brand to the next level.

Who knew that the Walkman was still around? Actually, a lot of people—and now many more will be scrambling to get one once the video version hits shelves.

Reuters says that Sony is planning an audio/video Walkman in an effort to keep up with the iPods of the world.

The company isn’t aiming for world music domination—they just want to double the Walkman’s current share. Nice that they don’t want to get too greedy.

They also announced that five new Walkman models will be available by the end of the year. Unfortunately, none are the video unit.
