You’re probably in a rush to take off for the long weekend. In that haste, it’s hard to remember music. That said, you know that you’ll need some sort of soundtrack! Sony wants to make you ready for the next party, announcing two new Bluetooth speakers. Both the SRS-X3 and the SRS-X2 will start selling in June.
Both speakers have Bluetooth, so you can stream music wirelessly to the speaker from any connected smartphone, tablet or other compatible device. Each one also boasts one-touch pairing via Near Field Communications (NFC).
The SRS-X3 Portable Bluetooth Speaker has two drivers and two passive radiators, which means that this unit can crank some bass, despite its compact size. The two passive radiators are located at the front and backside. Other features include 20 watts of power, ClearAudio+ digital digital processing, a built-in mic, and Sony’s “Definitive Outline” design. Promising 7 hours of playback, the SRS-X3 will be available in black, white and red.
The SRS-X2 Ultra Portable Bluetooth Speaker has the same output power of 20 watts, but in a slightly different design. Available in the black, white and red finishes, it also drops the party down to 5 hours via the built-in rechargeable battery.
Sony has started taking pre-orders for the SRS-X3 and the SRS-X2 now. The units have been priced at $149.99 and $99.99, respectively.
