A few weeks back, we teased some info about a new Sonos product. Apparently we were treated for our patience.

On the hardware side, the digital music company finally gave details about the ZoneBridge BR100, a device that helps to establish a music connection. Attach the ZoneBridge to a router, push a button, and boom—you’ve got a wireless connection that allows you to navigate and play music. No messy and confusing setups needed.

In case you like the messy setup (nerd!), the device might still be worth forking over $99. It also serves as a range extender.

That’s the scoop. The Sonos System Software 2.5, however, was a nice added bonus. If you missed the previous software versions, don’t worry. It’s like “Home Alone 2”—you can get the jist of it from this release and might even enjoy it a little more.

This version allows music lovers to not only enjoy music all over the house, it also taps into music you don’t even own (yet) via Napster, Rhapsody and Best Buy’s Digital Music Store. Grab the controller and you can search by artist, album or track.

Of course, you’ll have to pay to access any of the outside services. Current Sonos customers will get a free 30-day trial of Napster. Once they get you hooked, you’ll have to pay $9.95 per month.
