Our Crestron insider snapped these early images of the forthcoming Crestron iPad dock to show sister publication CE Pro.
Not much is being said about the units from the home automation giant, but you will see them at CEDIA Expo 2010 this September in Atlanta.
And if you happen to stop by Crestron’s Experience Center in Rockleigh, N.J., you’ll see it there even sooner.
The docks come in white and black, with a sturdy metal mount and three sides of grip so the iPad won’t slip out—no matter how enthusiastic a multitouch finger-swiper you may be.
Speaking of multitouch, we hear that the latest version of the Mobile Pro G iPad app is up and running at Crestron headquarters. The newest software features true gesture navigation with velocity and dynamic portrait/landscape rotation, which was missing in the original release.
Makes sense: we’ve certainly started seeing our share of mount, dock and in-wall solutions for Apple’s iPad device lately, from a variety of manufacturers in the mount, automation and audio sectors.
