SnapAV is adding a little something different to the power conditioner category. The company just announced Wattbox, a brand new line of power conditioners.
Designed to replace SnapAV’s Episode line, Wattbox includes rack-mount and stand-alone solutions, as well as power strips. The company says that Wattbox will simplify the process of adding an electrical outlet to equipment racks, structured wiring cans, and behind TVs.
At launch, the line will include the Wattbox 600 Series, a 2-piece rack-mountable power conditioner. This option can be mounted anywhere in the rack and features a 1 RU faceplate, which is connected to the outlet bank via RJ-45 cable and a separate power cable. Other features include sequenced outlets, isolated filter banks, fireproof MOVs, noise filtration and Safe Voltage protection for brownouts. Expect to see the 600 Series 12-outlet Sequencing Power Conditioner with optional faceplate listed with an MSRP of $489.95.
Later this quarter, SnapAV plans to add IP-addressable products to the Wattbox line. Once the entire line is launched, SnapAV expects products to be available between $59.95 and $489.95, depending on the model and features.
