Smartvue Corporation just announced the launch of Smartvue S4C550, a vandal- and weather-resistant outdoor IP video camera, which features long-range 802.11N draft wireless. S4C550 is part of the Smartvue family of plug-and-play wireless IP video surveillance solutions.

Smartvue says that the S4C550 is designed to reduce the cost, complexity, and time required to install secure IP video surveillance in outdoor applications. The new 802.11N draft wireless technologies enable Smartvue S4 to offer up to 10 times the range of other 802.11 IP cameras.

Smartvue S4C550 is available through select security and IT resellers worldwide as well as from Smartvue directly. Smartvue S4C550 is designed and manufactured in the United States.
