Smarthome is giving its thermostat line a splash of color. Smarthome just announced that the Venstar ColorTouch T5800 thermostat is now in stock and available through the Smarthome website, the catalog, and the company’s Irvine, California retail store.

The Venstar T5800 ColorTouch is a full color, 7-day programmable touchscreen thermostat. However, it does a lot more than adjust temperature.

For starters, the T5800 allows you to track energy usage through color graphs right on the screen. If you get sick of charts and numbers, the unit can also double as a digital picture frame.

“We offer a vast selection of brands, technologies and price points that really cover a wide customer-base,” said Laurie Maroni, VP of marketing for Smarthome. “As soon as we launched the Venstar ColorTouch thermostat we knew it was going to be a popular product because our forums were immediately buzzing.”

The T5800 also has something called “Time Period” Scheduler, which can automatically change the temperature and mode for up to four periods per day. Other features for the T5800 include customizable backgrounds and preset themes, security features, and a variety of faceplate options.

Smarthome is now selling the Venstar T5800 ColorTouch thermostat. It’s currently priced at $198.99.
