Some people say it’s hard to put a price on security. Those people have obviously never seen Smarthome’s new Wireless IP Security Camera.

At $99.99, this solution offers an affordable monitoring alternative. Whether you want to keep an eye on the living room, the backyard or the office, this camera is easy to install and offers a peek from anywhere with a web connection.

According to the company, each camera has 11 infrared LEDs to provide up to 26 feet of visibility—even under pitch-black conditions. From there, it can transmit images at 30 frames per second on a local or wireless network, using MJPEG hardware compression technology. It can also send still images via email whenever motion is detected.

“The Smarthome Wireless IP Security Camera is a great solution for those looking to add surveillance to their home or office without breaking the bank,” says Mike Scharnagl, Smarthome’s director of marketing. “Many homeowners want to add surveillance to their residence, but are afraid of the price or do not want to have a professional handle the installation. Smarthome is offering the Wireless IP Camera with the price conscious, do-it-yourselfer in mind—users can go from box to watching a real-time surveillance video within minutes.”

Smarthome is selling the Wireless IP Security Camera now for $99.99.
