We’ve already seen the trickling in of docks and mounts for your iPad, and plenty of wacky iPad accessories for Apple’s popular tablet.
But now you can really just sit and poke around for hours in the comforts of a home theater chair. That’s right, it was bound to happen at some point, and here now comes the Elite Home Theater Seating iPad Chair so we can all channel our inner sci-fi geek.
You’ll be commanding your iPad in luxury, as the iPad Chair features “strategically placed lumbar support, elbow positioning, and a seat cushion normally found in a European sports car,” says Elite. Other features include a motorized recliner, and choice of black or rustic brown leather for the standard package, which starts at $2,495.
And no, iPad isn’t included. However, once you have one you can pop it into the Luxa H4 iPad holder so the device and all of its apps goodness can be at your fingertips hands-free. The holder slides into a cupholder and can swivel and pivot 360 degrees, plus the iPad can rotate vertically or horizontally or be placed flat, thanks to the mechanical joint hinge’s flexibility.
The premium package adds an adjustable headrest, two Crowson tactile motion transducers and amplifier, and choice of 15 colors, for $5,995.
Here’s a look at the chair and iPad in action:
