Those seeking a new amp will be over the moon with Simaudio’s Moon 860A Power Amplifier. This beast of a component is one of three new additions to the company’s Moon Evolution Series.
The 2-channel power amp is rated at 200 watts into 8 ohms (or 400 watts into 4 ohms and 800 watts into 2 ohms). Featuring a balanced differential dual-mono design, the 860A has output transistors specifically designed for the Moon and the company’s own “zero global feedback” circuit, which is also known as Lynx.
Other features include a Class A output to 5 watts, an oversized power supply, RS-232 bi-directional feedback, and 12-volt triggers
Simaudio Ltd. is selling the Moon 860A now with an MSRP of $14,000.
