The Italian high-performance video company SIM2 is set to partner with its Southern, Fla.-based dealer Sound Performance for a two-day 3D event on Nov. 17 and 18 from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

SIM2 says this dealer event is the first consumer appearance in Southern, Fla. of its new C3X LUMIS 3D system, which will be the centerpiece of the Sound Performance’s high-performance home theater demonstrations at its 4030 Aurora St., Coral Gables show room.

The Grand Cinema C3X LUMIS 3D projection system is a dual projection-system designed to recreate 3D images in the home, with the same depth and vivid intensity as those experienced in the cinema. Inside the C3X LUMIS 3D solution reside three-chip Full HD DLP projectors, capable of delivering up to 9,000 Lumens to a standard screen.  Each projector is also outfitted with internal INFITEC 3D filters configurable for 2D or 3D images at Full HD resolution (1080p).

The Italian company adds that it also incorporates a motorized Sliding Filter System (SFS) that enables an easy switch to 2D operation for conventional HD viewing. “Consumers are constantly inundated with information about the latest technologies,” says Alberto Fabiano, Executive VP of SIM2 USA. “Home Cinema is truly about the experience and, especially with 3D, seeing is believing. We fully support and encourage our dealers, such as Sound Performance, to offer customers this unique opportunity to see what they achieve in their home.”

In addition to the 3D demonstrations SIM2 and Sound Performance will also preview SIM2’s High Dynamic Range (HDR) Display,  which the manufacturer says is the world’s brightest LCD monitor.

Sound Performance requests that anyone in Southern Florida interested in attending the event to call 305-446-8055 to make RSVP arrangements.
