In the market for a high-end projector for your ultimate theater room?
SIM2 has continued its stellar Grand Cinema C3X series with the Grand Cinema C3X Lumis projector, to deliver your high-def images via 3-chip DLP.
The 3000 ANSI lumens of brightness will keep your eyes glued to the screen. The up-to 35,000:1 contrast ratio will let you see details you may have missed in previous viewings of your movie collection.
The company employs the latest 0.95-inch 1080p DC4 DLP chipset from Texas Instruments, along with SIM2’s proprietary Alphapath light engine and enhanced DynamicBlack technology to deliver sharp images and deep black levels.
SIM2 also ensures that you’ll get optimum detail in dark scenes without compromising black levels or dynamic range with its combination of the DynamicBlack technology, plus the C3X Lumis’ user-adjustable iris and a new dimmable lamp. The company says a non-symmetric, folded aperture at the front end of the light path keeps unwanted reflections out of the way so the images are always crisp.
The projector is available with three lens options for installation flexibility, and includes a stable of connectivity ports: two selectable HDMI 1.3, and inputs for component, S- and composite video, RS-232 serial and USB ports.
The projector itself is quite a looker, too, in its high-gloss sculpted cabinet and custom color options. You’ll need plenty of green — $34,995 (T1 and T2 lens) and $36,495 (T3 lens).
