AQUOS TVs always looked awesome, but they didn’t have the thumbs up from George Lucas—until now.

THX has partnered with Sharp to give a few of their new TVs the true cinema experience.

The Sharp T Series, which includes the Sharp LV-65TH1 and LV-52TH1, has been designed and tested to meet Lucas’ and THX’s standards, which means near-perfect color and light levels.

Each LCD features THX Movie Mode, calibrates your set at the touch of a button. This video setting can tweak gamma, luminance, color temperature and other settings for the best possible playback of movies on DVD, Blu-ray, HD-DVD and broadcast television.

Here comes the rub: These units are currently only available in Japan. However, THX says that they should be coming to the U.S. soon, so stay tuned.
