Sudoku, now on your Sharp Aquos Net TV
You can put down the newspaper and pick up the remote control if you want to get your Sudoku fix. Well, if you have a Sharp Aquos Net TV, that is.
Accedo Broadband is now providing its Funspot casual game service to Sharp’s well-connected webified TVs, which hook into some Internet access through the Ethernet jack on the back of the SE94U series models.
Funspot on the Aquos Net delivers games in categories of arcade, puzzles, board, strategy, card and quizzes—like the popular Sudoku. Right now it looks like only Sudoku, Rockswap, Memory and Black Jack are available for the Aquos Net Service, but there’s much more on the website so we’re guessing more—like MindBoggle, Poker Puzzle Pyramid, QuizzMaster, Kaboom (aka Minesweeper) and others will someday get there (you can get ‘em now for Microsoft Media Center).
The web-based content on Aquos Net TV can be viewed in full screen or split screen mode, so apparently you can have some good multiplayer game challenges at your next party.
Check out more about the games on www.funspot.tv.
