Sennheiser’s HD 800 headphones wrap three different patents into a compact package.
Audiophiles now have a new way to spoil themselves—and just themselves. Sennheiser’s HD 800 is a high-quality audio experience packed into headphones. So you can’t share… and we’re ok with that.
Of course, that one-person experience will cost you: $1,400. That kind of cash gets you three difference patents, which includes a “completely new type of transducer and the innovative ear cup design.” The latter includes Japanese Alcantara, which is supposedly super-easy to clean as well as comfy.
The transducer measures 56mm. According to Sennheiser, “the more transducer surface area that vibrates, the purer the headphone sounds at low frequencies.” However, the unit also promises low distortion, awesome bass reproduction, and a frequency response of 6 to 51,000 Hz.
We couldn’t find the HD 800 available on Sennheiser’s website, but you can contact one of their many retail partners to see if they are available in your area.
