Sears Ad Leaks Black Friday Pricing
Better make your list as well as a map; holiday deals are coming to town faster than Santa Claus.
Black Friday
Sears has kicked off the Black Friday frenzy, with a lengthy list of items.
October 27, 2008 | by Rachel Cericola

Store Christmas trees, lights and giant inflatable lawn ornaments aren’t the only signs that the holiday shopping season is upon us. We are also getting a sneak peek at some of the Black Friday deals to be had.

Gizmodo has a nice lengthy list of the goodies that can be had at your local Sears during the post-turkey frenzy. Despite the economy, the Consumer Electronics Association says that consumer electronics will still be the hot ticket this holiday shopping season. It’s hard to argue, considering this preview. The list is longer than your arm, and possibly a leg as well. Some of the tasty Sears deals include:

  • Kodak CD93 9.2 MP Digital Camera - $79.99
  • Sandisk 2GB SD Card - $6.99
  • Sony Wireless Headphones - $29.99
  • Venturer 8” Kitchen Under The Cabinet LCD/DVD Combo - $149.99
  • TomTom 125 GPS - $99.99
  • Samsung 1000 Watt Home Theater System - $159.99
  • Sony Blu-Ray Disc Player - $179.99
  • Samsung 40” 1080P LCD HDTV - $799.99
  • Sharp 46” Class Full HD 1080P LCD HDTV - $899.99

All of the ones listed above are “doorbuster” items, but there are plenty of others to be had. Better grab a buddy and start planning strategies—or at least a shopping list. Only 32 days until the mayhem begins!

Uh ...no.  Nothing short of a cure for some dread disease or food for a starving family could convince me to join that charlie foxtrot.  Having said that, $179.00 for a blue ray player?  Nice. Might be a good price point to get the format into wider use.
