Whether you’re going on vacation, visiting family or hitting the road for business, there’s no need to go without your favorite entertainment on a decent-sized screen.
Iomega’s Screenplay TV Link sort of adds in a middleman, allowing you to play any USB hard disk or flash drives on a standard- or high-definition TV. Sure, many new TVs have a connection built in, but you can never be too sure when you travel. Connect to your storage via a USB connection, and this little guy connects to your HDTV or home theater system via HDMI, composite or component with RCA and coaxial connections. It even throws in upscaling capabilities—to 720p or 1080i.
“The ScreenPlay TV Link turns any TV or home theater into party central for computer-based media content,” said Loren Bryner, global product manager, Iomega Corporation. “There’s no easier way to enjoy photos, music, or downloadable movies.”
The unit supports MP3, AC3, WAV, WMA, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, and JPEG formats.
The ScreenPlay TV Link is now available for $99.95.
