There’s a company named Interactive Voice, Inc. that has a pair of cool little voice-activated alarm clocks, the ivee digit and ivee flex. While being able to yell at your clock is certainly a neat perk, we’re starting to see so many other uses for voice-activated control.

The company knows this—and is hoping to tackle some of those options with the new ivee Sleek. The Sleek is a hands-free, WiFi-enabled voice interactive assistant.

Just bark out a few commands and ivee can answer questions, obey orders, and even trigger other web-connected devices and services. The ivee Sleek has something called “advanced voice trigger technology,” so users can activate devices from a distance.

The ivee Sleek even has light and temperature sensors, so “she” can detect surroundings and become smarter.

“I’ve always dreamed of talking to an artificial intelligence system that could control my home” said Jonathon Nostrant , CEO and founder of ivee. “We saw the beginnings of voice recognition and personal assistant technology on mobile phones, but they never provided the experience we were looking for.”

According to CNET, the Sleek will work with Belkin’s smart plugs, with more compatibility on the way. If all goes well, ivee is hoping to see the Sleek available sometime this summer, with a starting price of $199.
