Savant’s In-Wall iPad Dock ($350) supports both landscape and portrait configurations and sends an alert if the iPad is removed without authorization.
Lots of iPad dock/mount news early this morning.
Premier Mounts introduced its VIP-100 and VIP-200 mounting frames, and Savant is adding two iPad docks - the In-Wall Dock ($350) and Desktop Dock ($500).
Both docks are shipping to Savant dealers.
The Desktop Dock comes with a charging cradle and power supply, while the In-Wall Dock has a docking cradle and magnetically-attached faceplate.
The In-Wall Dock supports both landscape and portrait configurations and sends an alert if the iPad has been removed from the dock without authorization.
Savant CEO Robert Madonna says the docks provide “more overall system value at a fraction of the cost to the consumer than with any other competitive automation technology.”
