Last month, Sanyo was touting the release of an “entry-level” 1080p projector for the nifty price of $1,995. For people with a little more to spend and who want a little more oomph from their projectors, Sanyo has now introduced a jazzier 1080p model, the PLV-Z3000.

The PLV-Z3000 LCD projector replaces the company’s PLV-Z2000, and will offer 5:5 pulldown with 120 Hz, and also include Sanyo’s own TopazReal HD processing.

The TopazReal HD features 14-bit digital processing and a real-focus HD lens system, with 3D color management that the company says delivers 110 times more color combinations than 720p projectors.

Other highlights include eye-popping contrast of 65,000:1, 1200 ANSI lumens rating, and ultra-quiet fan that doesn’t go above 19 dB in economy mode.

A pair of HDMI 1.3 inputs, and vertical and horizontal lens shifting to three and two screen sizes, respectively, further enhance the PLV-Z3000’s versatility.

Look for the PLV-Z3000 in December with an MSRP of $3,295.
