Can’t afford or don’t have room to mount your spiffy new flat-panel TV on the wall? Or maybe you have it in a good spot on the wall but need somewhere to put your electronics?

Sanus Systems has you covered, with its pretty affordable new BFV145 Audio Video Stand, the company’s first offering in its Foundations Basic Series furniture line. The BFV can be your media room’s BFF for a list price of $269.

The piece can hold TVs up to 52 inches, if you need to use the top shelf as a stand. If not, you can start loading it up with electronics and/or center-channel speakers—the top shelf capacity is 150 pounds.

The middle and bottom shelves can support 50 and 75 pounds, respectively, according to Sanus.

Even so, you may want to be relatively selective with what you put on the shelves, because the tempered glass look is pretty nice to have as a decorative element in your media or living room. Sanus says the shelves are shatter resistance, but you probably should take care when you plop an amplifier on it.

Cable management holes provide a centralized way to route your wire and cabling, and the open architecture ensures proper ventilation. The BFV145 also has adjustable feet so everything will be on the level.
